Client Challenge:
To design a new middle school for the Alta Community School District and assist in passage of a successful bond referendum.

SVPA Solution:
SVPA designed a new middle school for the school district which includes a community library, classrooms, science room, band room, locker rooms, and varsity gymnasium. The use of traditional masonry construction consisting of load bearing concrete block with a brick veneer, combined with precast concrete for the gymnasium, provided a cost-effective and durable facility. The project, when bid, came in under budget, allowing the school district to add two classrooms to the scope of work.
