Client Challenge:

Enlarge the current city recreation center in order to provide expanded programs and services through the city recreation program.

SVPA Solution:
An indoor 6-lane, 25 meter competition pool with 1 meter spring board and associated lockers, observation deck, and concession area.  The indoor pool has zero-depth entry for handicap and child accessibility. The varsity gymnasium consists of 36,500 s.f. over three floors.  In addition, a 23,600 s.f. exterior pool with slides, zero-depth entry, and play features was added.  This large-scale addition has greatly increased the North Liberty Parks and Recreation Department's menu of recreation services available to the community.
