First Federal Savings Bank of Iowa
West Des Moines, IA |
Client Challenge: Design a full-service branch bank to complement the architectural theme of the Jordan Creek Crossing development in West Des Moines, Iowa
|
SVPA Solution: With a blend of brick, stone, metal panels, and glass this 6,100 square foot banking facility was positioned close to the six-lane 68th Street in West Des Moines for a more urban experience. The lot design shields parking from the heavily traveled street. The modified L-shape design also gave the boardroom a prime view of the intersection of the two streets at the site. Reflecting the exterior colors and textures, the interior design brings an urban yet traditional scheme to the building. Clean lines and distinct patterns are emphasized throughout the interior design. Wall covering selections were chosen to enhance the feeling of light and openness as one enters the bank.
