Client Challenge:
Create an park master plan turning an old quarry into an outdoor recreation center.
SVPA Solution:
The park includes baseball and softball diamonds and competition and practice soccer fields with associated parking. A skate park, dog park, picnic shelters with toilet facilities, sand volleyball, playgrounds, 18-hole disc golf course are also included. Two large fishing ponds with a bridge and dock are set in a lawn area which transitions to a pasture level of maintenance and then transitioning to a restored prairie area. Walking trails with loops of various lengths were added to unify all of the facilities and allow enjoyment of the entire park through walking.

Parts of the park are under construction by City of Earlham groups and volunteers. The City's goal is have the project complete by 2016.
