| ChildServe Center Campus Addition |
ChildServe
Johnston, IA |
Client Challenge: After completion of the ChildServe Center, the next step in the campus improvement plan was renovation of the the Hubbell Wing and an addition connecting two of the existing buildings. The Hubbell Wing is the Pediatric Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (Skilled Nursing Care), serving 20 children with severe physical disabilities (classification I2)
SVPA Solution: The addition connects the ChildServe Center with the residential buildings, and include offices and therapy rooms serving the children living in the Hubbell wing. Fun interiors with bold colors emphasize ChildServe's theme of child-focused service without minimizing the intense services provided for these children every day. The Skilled Nursing Care rooms were renovated with the same attention to providing an environment that enhances physical and mental well-being.
