Carlisle High School Addition and Renovation
Carlisle Community School District
Challenge: Provide additions and renovation design for the existing high school on a very tight schedule for both design and construction. The design was completed in four months, with part of the construction to be completed over summer recess.
SVPA Solution: SVPA was able to complete design within the required four months, which included: complete demolition and new design for the administrative offices with new main entrance, complete interior demolition and renovation of the existing auditorium, expansion of the commons area, locker room renovations, new wood doors and life safety upgrades. These upgrades included columbine locks on classroom doors, video surveillance system, and card reader access system. The school applied for and received a Harkin Grant for the security portion of the project. Athletic field upgrades (concession stand, new all-weather running track) were included as well.
