Client Challenge: Remodel a former printing facility into A-/B+ office and data space for Berkley Technology Services (BTS), the transaction processing and business solution services arm of WR Berkley Companies. Provide building "hardening" to withstand EF1 tornado winds.

SVPA Solution: The original building was constructed in three different phases and architectural styles, and the Owner desired a uniform and contemporary look. The SVPA team began with extensive review of the buildingís existing conditions and BTS program requirements.

The facility is being re-skinned with metal panels and unitized curtain wall framing to create a corporate campus feel, as the building is directly adjacent to a sister company facility. Building system design solutions integrate high efficiency mechanical and electrical systems into the building along with technology and security enhancements. The interior of the building has been reconfigured to an office layout that facilitates collaborative, creative work processes.
