The Blood Center of Iowa Remodeling and Addition
The Blood Center of Iowa
Des Moines, Iowa

Client Challenge: Create a new, larger facility to accommodate new technology and be compliant with new health regulations while being as economical as possible; provide ample parking space for employees and visitors.

SVPA Solution: To gain economies, an existing building was purchased and partially demolished. The remaining space was renovated and a three-story addition (with garage and unfinished lease space) was constructed with minimal disruption to existing tenants. The overall design was sensitive to industry regulations, current and future technology, and anticipated future growth.
