Nationwide 2E Pilot
Des Moines, Iowa

Challenge: Set new design standards based on how Nationwide works today, revitalize the workspace and provide a more collaborative environment.

SVPA Solution: SVPA Architects was selected in 2014 as the interior architect for the 1100 Locust location Pilot refresh. 360 Architecture (since acquired by HOK) designed the core and shell, while SVPA programmed and designed the interior partitions and furniture layouts for the project in 2000. This included the open plan areas, auditorium, offices, conference rooms, fitness center and executive suites. To maximize the natural light, SVPA originally planned for the space to allow light to penetrate as deeply as possible into the floor plate.

SVPA recently completed work on the Pilot project for a portion of the second floor. This model is the first phase for a refresh of the entire 1100 Locust campus located in Des Moines, IA. Also included in this first phase is the auditorium and some cafeteria work.
