Farmers Chapel
Farmers Chapel United Methodist Church
Indianola, Iowa

Client Challenge: For a displaced congregation following the 2000 arson that destroyed the church's 1890's-era building, rebuild the church using a design reminiscent of the past; accommodate future needs; work within a limited budget.

SVPA Solution: SVPA's design echoed the original design and allowed for future additions. Recognizing the congregation's significant loss, SVPA helped minimize costs by limiting the scope of construction administration. The one-level church today includes worship space, fellowship hall, children's play/activity area, classrooms, office, kitchen and workroom.
