The Iowa Conference
Des Moines, Iowa
Client Challenge: The Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church is the organization representing United Methodist member churches in the State of Iowa. Priorities for the Conference were to balance current needs, provide for sensible growth, and create a timeless, architectural image reflecting the Vision and Mission of the Church.
SVPA Solution: The 30,000 s.f. facility provides offices for the Iowa Conference Bishop and Episcopal staff, Conference Foundtion, Council on Ministries, and the Des Moines District. In addition, a small chapel and various meeting rooms are avialable for staff and visitors. The building and surrounding landscape are designed to reflect the social principles of the United Methodist Chuch, which include environmental stewardship and service to humanity.
