Fort Des Moines Senior Housing

Client Challenge: The developer of this project, a life-long resident of Des Moines, saw a need for quality housing for healthy seniors in his neighborhood. He hired SVPA to help him fulfill his vision for this project and obtain tax credit financing.
SVPA Solution: The project includes 54 single-bedroom apartments and 3 two-bedroom apartments. Amenities include underground parking for 19 residents, guest apartments, activity/dining room, serving kitchen, exercise room, theatre room, laundry on each floor, and computer center. The project has received approval from the Iowa Finance Authority and construction started in the spring of 2011.
