About Brad

After graduating in 2015, Brad moved to Mason City where he gained valuable experience in both commercial and residential architecture. He has a strong interest in detailing and understanding the small intricacies of how buildings come together. Brad also has an interest in graphics, modeling and computer aided technologies.

What phase of a project is your favorite and why?

“I love understanding how buildings go together and the small intricacies that make a building function, especially as it relates to building science so any stage that involves detailing is definitely among my favorites. The technological advancements that we have made over the past several decades has truly been astonishing. Learning to leverage this new technology to better understand how these small details impact the overall project design, as well as helping clients to better visualize the spaces that we are designing for them is always a very rewarding and exciting experience for me.”

What is your favorite podcast and why?

“I have two podcasts that I listen to: “Unbuild It” by Steve Baczek, Peter Yost and Jake Burton and “The Overwhelmed Brain” by Paul Colaianni. The “Unbuild It” podcast has a lot of good information on building science while “The Overwhelmed Brain” podcast is my go-to for personal growth and development. I love learning new things and both have been invaluable resources for me to learn and grow both professionally and personally in my daily life and outside of work.”
