Our Solution
The project began with a programming/workplace strategy phase, where we met with the four departments (building users) to determine current and future needs of their departments for the next 20 years. From the data collected we developed strategies and standards that addressed functions, storage, collaboration and interaction with the public. In addition to the renovation, the project also entailed demolition of the existing parking lot and designing a new lot of greater size to accommodate parking needs; modified vehicular access to the building along with a drive-up lane for dropping off bills or documents; new front entrance canopy; window replacement; exterior wall repairs; and a larger lobby area to accommodate walk-in traffic for all departments.
