SVPA Architects provided design services for major building renovations to convert the original high school in Ankeny into a modernized middle school that will allow for current curriculum needs and long-term growth within the District.

Our Solution
Construction of this building improvement project was made possible through a successful bond referendum in the spring of 2014. The project includes: eight reorganized teaching team “pods”; renovated and modernized cafeteria, food service and common areas; improved site circulation and addition of a new drop off lane; and a remodeled Media Center and technology labs. In addition, there are security improvements, major mechanical and electrical system upgrades, an added sprinkler system and life safety improvements and building envelope improvements including added insulation and new windows in several classrooms.
