About Kelly
Kelly has over 20 years of experience designing projects for a wide variety of sectors. She participates in all phases of the design process, including developing diagrams to validate Schematic Design options; assessing and incorporating user feedback for Design Development; documenting final design and alternates in Construction Documents, coordinating design with engineering disciplines during all phases and responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals and performing observational walk-throughs and punch lists. Kelly is proficient in assessing and optimizing extant Revit models, coordinating multiple linked Revit and CAD models, providing 3D Revit graphics for owner review and resolving technical issues from other Revit users.
What is your favorite building and why?
“Hong Kong’s Bank Building by Norman Foster. It looks like it’s erecting itself, even after 40 years. Apparently cranes on top protect it from another building through Feng Shui.”
What is one of your favorite quotes/sayings and why?
“Chuang Tzu was one day fishing, when the Prince of Ch’u sent two high officials to interview him, saying that his Highness would be glad of Chuang Tzu’s assistance in the administration of his government. The latter quietly fished on, and without looking round, replied, “I have heard that in the State of Ch’u there is a sacred tortoise, which has been dead three thousand years, and which the prince keeps packed up in a box on the altar in his ancestral shrine. Now do you think that tortoise would rather be dead and have its remains thus honoured, or be alive and wagging its tail in the mud?” The two officials answered that no doubt it would rather be alive and wagging its tail in the mud; whereupon Chuang Tzu cried out “Begone! I too elect to remain wagging my tail in the mud.”
