About Ron

Ron has experience managing projects for all of the sectors that SVPA serves. He has managed some of the largest corporate projects at SVPA and understands unique project phasing and constructability issues with existing buildings. His creativity, attention to detail and commitment to solving problems for clients over the last 30 years continues to make him a valuable asset. Ron applies his philosophy of design to each project he receives: “We should always strive for the celebration of ‘place’ through our design. It should never be enough to provide a client with a well-functioning building that doesn’t break the budget. We should never lose sight of our responsibility to provide an uplifting environment inside and out.”

What phase of a project is your favorite and why?

“My favorite phase of a project is Design Development into Construction Documents where I get to figure out how all the elements of the building need to work together to work properly. It’s a real challenge to figure out how to make the building materials and systems fit together in a way that will allow the building to look correct, function well and last as long as possible without excessive maintenance.”

What is a hidden talent you have?

“I guess my hidden talent is being a sprints and long jump coach at Dowling Catholic High School. It’s a very rewarding experience helping kids learn how to do something very well and to be able to share in their successes.”
