About Thad

Growing up in the design and construction industry, Thad learned early on the importance of making and maintaining working relationships. Combined with his years of experience on job sites, Thad’s ability to create and manage teams has built long-term trust in a community of repeat clients. Thad has over 20 years of experience and his career includes: project management, residential, commercial and interior design, construction administration and all the other details that bring projects to successful conclusions. At SVPA, Thad has managed all types of projects, from banks to corporate headquarters, to recreation centers.

What phase of a project is your favorite and why?

“I love construction, I grew up a contractor’s son and grandson, so construction is the language I know. As a building is built, the scale of a space changes constantly, experiencing the amount of people and coordination a project takes from start to finish. Most owners have not been a part of the building process or renovating a space. The best part of construction is building relationships with every trade on the project. We all have our areas of expertise and the project relies on each trade to take pride in their work, which is an awesome experience and several relationships develop while solving problems on-site.”

What inspires you?

“All of our clients come to us for our ability to dream with them when something good is happening to their business, school or organization. As architects we get to be part of the process – designing a new building, expanding a business or renovating a space for a better environment. We get to dream with the owner and it is truly an honor to be part of that process.”
