SVPA Architects has hired Orion Lauda as a Senior Architectural Technician and Mimi Kelly as an Intern Architect.

Orion Lauda brings with him over 10 years of computer-aided design and drafting experience. Prior to joining SVPA Architects, Orion was working for another architectural firm in the Des Moines area. Orion holds a B.A. in Art and Design from Iowa State University and an Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Technologies from DMACC.

Mimi Kelly interned with SVPA Architects prior to joining the firm full-time in February of this year. Mimi graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in the Fall 2020. During her time at ISU, Mimi was part of Architecture Design-Build during the Spring of 2018, was an Iowa Chapter Student Affiliate Member of the American Institute of Architects and assisted with the new art gallery space in the Memorial Union.

“As we say thanks and send best wishes for retirement to Linda Brierley, a 20-year Senior Architectural Technician, we are excited to welcome Orion and Mimi to the SVPA family,” said Vitus Bering, AIA, President of SVPA Architects.
